Filmed inside the war zone of northern Uganda over a period of three years, Children of War is a unique and incandescent documentary which follows the journey of a group of former child soldiers as they undergo a process of trauma therapy and emotional healing while in a rehabilitation center.
Children of War had it’s World Premiere in 2010 at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York City. It was awarded with, amongst others, the Best Feature Award for Child Advocacy at the 2009 International Artivist Film Festival, the Foundation Barbara Hendricks Prize at the 2010 Geneva International Festival of Human Rights and the 2011 Armin T. Wegner Humanitarian Award by the Arpa Foundation for Film and Art.
